Acer Aspire 5520 15 4 inch Laptops Review

best Acer Aspire 5520
Acer one of the well-known lsptops maker has announced the launch of its new laptop namely, Acer Aspire 5520. The Acer has decided to pack the Aspire 5520 with 3GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 memory. This lets it run more applications without the need to rely on the swap file giving it slightly better performance when using memory intensive programs or multitasking. The Athlon 64 X2 TK-57 mobile processor can handle most tasks but does trail the Intel Core 2 processor lineup.

Storage wise, the Aspire 5520 is pretty much want one would expect in its price category. A fairly large 160GB hard drive handles all application and data storage. A dual layer DVD burner handles all playback and recording of CDs or DVDs. A built-in 5-in-1 card reader also allows it to interface with most of the popular digital media card storage formats.

Most of the budget systems now use a 15.4-inch widescreen LCD display. Acer sticks with this trend and uses this size screen. It also uses an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 7000M graphics processor to handle annd 2D and 3D graphics. As it is an integrated solution, it doesnt really have any 3D performance behind it, but this is true of all systems in the sub-$750 price range.

The biggest drawback to the Acer Aspire 5520 is its size. It is fairly thick with a 1.7-inch measurement at its thickest. This makes it bigger than the average 15.4-inch notebook system. This doesnt translate into addition weight though. Some might also be upset that it doesnt come with any productivity software at all. This can add some extra expense and time for those that would like it to come with the system.Acer Aspire 5520

ACER ASPIRE 6920 REVIEW

Acer Aspire 6920 – Cool walk down the lane

The all innovative Gemstone Blue series laptops from Acer offer a cinematic knowledge with a 16-inch 16:9 ratio exhibit, built-in subwoofer, and touch-sensitive multimedia control panel. Going ahead of the multimedia familiarity, Acer also give this Gemstone laptop one of the most pioneering designs we have witnessed in years.

Design
Build excellence of the Acer Aspire 6920 is very concrete and held up quite healthy during our testing. Whether it was being tossed inside of a rucksack unevenly or passed around by the edge of the palm rest, it didnt formulate one squeak of noise. The plastics utilized throughout the laptop are high quality, and provide it a harsh feel which doesnt crook under a burly grip.

Performance
The Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor establishes in our assessment configuration isnt precisely the greatest processor on the market, but it was more than quick enough for your standard workload. Office efficiency applications and internet browsers were no setbacks for this computer. Even more intricate tasks such as compressing audio or video files in iTunes accomplished without much delay. Overall most consumers will have a hard time telling the dissimilarity between a top of the line processor and base budget sculpt during day to day work.

The 16:9 Acer Cine-Crystal LCD rates average compared to other laptops, having high-quality color and contrast, but deficient in a wide viewing range. On the balanced shape with screen brightness set to 60% and wireless enabled, the Acer Gemstone pulled off 4 hours and 6 minutes of battery sprint life with the 4400mAh battery.

Thermal presentation is better than average, where even beneath heavy stress, like in the center of benchmarking, the laptop is scarcely above room temperature in all of the significant areas. The palm rests were faintly above room temperature and the underneath was fairly cool as well.

Conclusion
The Acer Gemstone Blue string has one of the coolest designs we have witnessed in our office in quite an elongated time. The concentration to aspect is astounding, particularly with the screen cover where you comprehend the color isnt a solid blue, but as an alternative a smooth changeover to a lighter color towards centered Acer logo. Even the screen hinges werent unnoticed, with the chrome inflections and inner blue LED lighting when plugged in.

Pros
+ Rock-hard build quality
+ Elegant screen cover paint finish
+ Chrome and LED trimmed pieces all over
+ Operates with lap friendly temperatures
+ Vast battery life

Cons
- Keyboard flex under typing pressure
- Pitiable screen viewing angles
