BEST LAPTOPS OF 2008

Its time to recap the best laptops of the year. So without further ado lets begin.

Sony Z Series: Topping the list is the Sony Z series. Not only does it carry Blu-Ray options it is also the first 13.3 inch notebook to offer 16:9 resolution which means it actually puts the Blu-Ray drive to work.

HP Pavilion DV5T: With an MSRP well below $600, the DV5T is one hot notebook that fails not to appeal to thrill. Couple that with its NVIDIA GeForce 9600M Gt graphics card, and $150 BD drive option whats not to like. Oh and did I mention it also has HDMI output not to mention HPs stellar finishing job on the case of this thing.

Sony FW Series: Blu-Ray drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics card, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM, 500GB HDD, and a 16:9 aspect ratio make this an irresistible choice. And for those of you who are wondering, yes its still below the $1300 mark.

Apple Macbook / Pro: While one of the most expensive notebooks you will ever lay your eyes on the Macbook and its Pro has something going for it that most laptops dont. It can run Mac and Windows. Plus thanks to its new NVIDIA GPU and multi touch trackpad there are few notebooks that can rival the Macbook in performance and ultra sexiness.

Toshiba A305: Other than holding the award for sexiest 15 inch laptop of the year the Toshiba A305 shines in the performance area as well. 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo Processor, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, sleep and charge technology, Intel’s GMA 4500MHD graphics card. If you have an extra buck fifty to drop than you might consider upgrading to a nine cell battery (to replace the included six cell) and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphic card.
